Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure products meet technical specifications on the production line. You will train staff on measurement methods, perform quality checks, and assist in process development.

You will respond to customer quality concerns, provide 8D reports, and verify product quality at customer sites, while documenting non-conformities and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control or related field.
• Experience handling customer quality concerns and supporting quality improvement initiatives.
• Exposure to engine products, aftertreatment systems, or automotive manufacturing quality processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet technical specifications and train others on measurement methods.

Job Summary

Ensures products received or produced meet technical specifications trains others and assists in process development. Works under minimal supervision. Supports customer issues resolution at customer end

Support at customer end , SPOC for customer to identify and resolve issues . Provide 8D and issues resolution to customer for any issues , Verifies the final quality of products on the production line at customer end

Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects.

Separates products that do not have the desired technical specification, using basic and/or complex measurement techniques and equipment.

Documents products that do not meet technical specifications using specified systems.

Trains others in the use of measurement equipment, segregation of non-conforming product and documentation.

Follows the norms and standards of quality defined by the Company.

Reports progress on problem resolution to management.

Assists in the development of new methods and procedures.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

Diploma in Engineering preferred. High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
