Qualifications

• Experience in Line Quality & Gauge/Standard laboratory settings.
• Hands-on experience with Line Quality & Gauge/Standard lab equipment and surface finish testers.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably machining.
• Ability to read and interpret components engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with basic statistics (SPC, R&R) and related software.

Responsibilities

• Reporting and monitoring rejection and rework PPM daily.
• Resolution of internal/external customer complaints.
• Conduct capability studies and gauge R&R studies.
• Maintain SPC charts for critical/major characteristics at risk level III.
• Drive corrective/preventive actions for non-conformities.
• Coordinate PPAP documentation for new part introductions or changes.
• Initiate line stoppage and Q1 meetings for non-conformances.

Job Summary:

Ensures products received or produced meet technical specifications. Works under moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Verifies the final quality of products on the production line.Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects.Separates products that do not have the desired technical specification, using basic and/or complex measurement techniques and equipment.Documents products that do not meet technical specifications using specified systems.Trains others in the use of measurement equipment, segregation of non-conforming product and documentation.Follows the norms and standards of quality defined by the Company.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

• 1. Work experience in Line Quality & Gauge/standard laboratory.
• 2. Hands on experience on Line Quality & Gauge/ Standard lab Equipments. & surface Finish testers
• 3. Knowledge of manufacturing processes (preferably machining)
• 4. KnowledgeofProcess and Product Audit.
• 5. Knowledge & ability to read and understand components engineering drawing.
• 6. Knowledge of inspection on hand experience on basic inspection tools
• 7. Knowledge of basic Statistics SPC, R&R and experience in using software like Minitab etc.

Responsibilities

• 1. Reporting and Monitoring rejection and rework PPM on daily basis.
• 3. Resolution of Internal / External Customer Complaints.
• 4. Conduct Capability Studies and gauge R & R Studies as per Plan and Drive /Support for Capability improvement projects.
• 5. Maintain SPC charts for all Critical and Major Characteristics which are in Risk level III.
• 6. Completion of schedule audit as per plan & drive corrective / preventative actions on reported non-conformities.
• 7. Monitoring and reporting Supplier rejection PPM and coordinating with sourcing for Corrective / preventative actions
• 9. Coordination of PPAP documentation for any New Part introduction / Change in Current Part Process, Tooling etc.
• 10. Initiate Line stoppage and Q1 meeting for any Non Conformance / Customer complaint.
• 11. Implementation of New Ideas / Housekeeping through Kaizen and 5s.
• 12. Review Safety Risk Assessment with respect to Quality functions processes.
• 13. Timely Disposition of Non Conforming material and comply with system.

Skills / Competencies

• 1. Knowledge / Expertise in Problem solving tools like 7Step, Root Cause Analysis.
• 2. Knowledge of Various Inspection equipments / Processes.
• 3. Knowledge of SPC, MSA, PPAP
• 4. Manufacturing Quality Related troubleshooting skills,
• 5. Knowledge of various manufacturing process will be as added advantage.
• 6. Computer proficiency
