Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Factory Quality Control Specialist for the Transformers BU in India. You will ensure products meet the highest quality standards through rigorous inspection and testing across Core, Active parts, winding, VPD, final assembly and reactors up to 765 kV.

You will drive data-led improvements, ensure compliance with ISO standards and industry regulations, and prioritize safety in all testing activities while supporting FAT, dispatch, and documentation with customers.

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Factory Quality Control Specialist for the Business Unit Transformers to join ourdynamic team. In this role, you will ensure products meet the highest quality standards through rigorous inspection and testing, aligning with internal, customer, and industry requirements. You will monitor the qualityof transformers and their components throughout manufacturing, delivering data-driven insights to drive excellence and minimize defects. This position oćers the opportunity to shape quality standards inmanufacturing, contributing to Hitachi Energy’s vision of delivering smarter and more sustainable energy solutions

How you will make an impact
  • Conduct thorough testing of incoming materials, sub-assemblies, and final products to ensure they meet
  • predefined specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure all testing operations comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ISO standards.
  • Prioritize safety in product testing activities by following HSE protocols and best practices.
  • Perform inspections and tests on incoming materials in accordance with the Quality Control Plan and
  • industry standards.
  • Ensure manufacturing inspections and tests are carried out accurately and comply with predefined quality
  • standards.
  • Ensure test equipment is used correctly, maintained, and calibrated by authorized personnel.
  • Collect, record, and securely store test and inspection data to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify and document defects or non-conformances, escalating issues to ensure only compliant products proceed.

Candidate must have worked and experience in manufacturing quality control of Core, Active part, Winding, VPD, Final Assembly processes of power transformer up to 765 kV and Reactors.

He should have experience in dealing with customer FAT for quality related testing activities, dispatch activities and documentation.
