Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance leader for GAT Nashik to drive QMS deployment, audits, and continuous improvement across vehicle programs.

You will mentor QA teams, coordinate with PU/Plant quality teams, and ensure first-time-right launches while maintaining PAL standards and customer-focused quality metrics.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Quality Assurance in automotive passenger car and small commercial vehicle segments.
• Deployment of QMS via structured product/process/component audits at PU/Plant level.
• Experience leading CQA Head role for large plants like Nashik/Chakan.
• Experience with first-time-right launches in automotive passenger and CV segments or powertrain products.
• Experience in leading a medium to large sized team.

Responsibilities

• Deploy the Quality Vision, Mission and Policy across plants with audits.
• Capture voice of customers via dealers and customer care for product quality and reliability improvements.
• Ensure products meet/exceed outgoing quality and PAL parameters using statistical tools.
• Lead periodic management reviews with service to track progress and escalations.
• Provide functional guidance to QA teams and enforce structured problem solving (PDCA).
• Delegate tasks, oversee performance, allocate resources and conduct audits.
• Prioritize tasks and manage resources for quality initiatives.

GAT Nashik - 4 Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Ensure that the Quality Vision, Mission and Policy is effectively deployed across the plants by providing appropriate resources and thereby structuring quality system, product and process audit. Establish, institutionalize structured process to capture the voice of customers through dealers and customer care for Product Quality and Reliability improvement and ensure that it is deployed through appropriate initiatives, goals and mentoring. Ensures that product meets/exceeds the outgoing product quality and consistently meets the critical parameter in line with the product attribute leadership (PAL's) through use of appropriate statistical tools. Ensures to get the priorities right for the product improvement by effectively coordinating with: . PVT - for Product Quality and Reliability Improvement. SQE - for Supplier Quality Improvement. Ensure that the product is at par or better than the benchmark in terms of product and process parameters. Ensure the deployment of quality management system defined in MQS through structured product, process and component audit. Takes the lead in organizing periodic management reviews with the service management to provide updates on the progress as against the quality initiatives/goals and ensure timely escalations and PDCA. Provide functional guidance to the quality assurance team in terms of enhancing quality functional excellence and ensure that a structured problem solving approach is being followed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency Quality managers typically supervise a team of employees, often guiding them and training them to implement the right strategies for quality control.
