Job summary

URC Construction (P) Ltd in Vizag is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the QA/QC function for a large-scale Data Center project. You will oversee quality systems, inspections, testing, documentation, and coordination with consultants, clients, and project teams.

The role emphasizes developing and enforcing quality plans, ITPs, method statements, NCR management, and quality records to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and project requirements.

Qualifications

• 20–25 years of overall experience in construction QA/QC.
• Data Center project experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in large-scale building/high-rise/critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, inspection procedures, ITPs, method statements, NCR management, and quality documentation.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good knowledge of applicable construction codes, standards, specifications, and testing requirements.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall QA/QC activities for the Data Center project.
• Develop, implement, and monitor the Quality Management Plan, ITPs, method statements, and inspection procedures.
• Ensure construction activities comply with drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and project quality requirements.
• Manage inspection and testing activities for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams on quality-related matters.
• Review and approve quality documentation, inspection reports, test reports, material approvals, and quality records.
• Monitor and close NCRs, observations, punch points, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct regular quality audits, inspections, and quality reviews across the project.
• Ensure proper implementation of ITPs, checklists, testing & commissioning procedures, and quality standards.
• Identify potential quality risks and implement preventive measures to minimize rework and quality issues.
• Lead and mentor the project QA/QC team and ensure effective deployment of quality resources.
• Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain complete and accurate quality documentation and project handover records.
• Participate in client/consultant meetings and provide regular quality performance reports to project management.
