Job summary

ENEXIO Power Cooling Solutions India Pvt Ltd in Chennai seeks a Manager / Senior Manager - Quality with 15-20 years of experience in quality leadership within power, EPC, or heavy engineering sectors.

You will drive quality strategies, oversee ITP/QAP, supplier and customer audits, and ensure compliance across manufacturing, fabrication and welding operations. A BE/BTech in Mechanical is required, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience in fabrication, welding, sheet metal, structural and heavy engineering quality.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, inspection methods and dimensional control.
• Knowledge of WPS/PQR, welder qualification, NDT, material traceability, and inspection documentation.
• Experience creating ITP, QAP, QC procedures, NCR, CAPA, RCA, 8D, FMEA and audit reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Quality team to meet customer, supplier, manufacturing and project quality requirements.
• Establish and maintain quality systems and procedures per ISO 9001 and industry standards.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure quality deliverables and timely resolution of non-conformances.

Industry Preference: Power Plant / EPC / Heavy Engineering / Sheet Metal Fabrication / Welding / Heat Exchanger / Cooling Tower / Industrial Equipment Manufacturing in power, EPC, cooling tower, heat exchanger, boiler, heavy engineering, fabrication, or welding industries, with proven experience in leading a Quality team and managing customer, supplier, manufacturing, and project quality requirements.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, sheet metal, structural, and heavy engineering quality.

• Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, inspection methods, and dimensional control.

• Knowledge of WPS/PQR, welder qualification, NDT, material traceability, and inspection documentation.

• Experience in ITP, QAP, QC procedures, NCR, CAPA, RCA, 8D, FMEA, and audit management.

• Knowledge of applicable ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality requirements.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.

• Good communication and coordination skills with customers, suppliers, consultants, and internal departments.

• Proficiency in MS Office and quality-related reporting/MIS.
