Job summary

Sterling Tools (STL) in India seeks a qualified QMS professional to maintain and update quality system documentation and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001. The role requires coordinating audits, driving CAPA closures, and collaborating with Production, Quality, and Purchase to implement QMS processes.

You will monitor key quality metrics, prepare reports for management, and drive training to raise awareness of procedures and standards across the workforce.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile or Production Engineering.
• 4-5 years of experience in QMS within automotive or auto components manufacturing.
• Familiar with IATF 16949 & ISO 9001 standards.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update QMS documentation, including procedures, work instructions, formats, and quality records.
• Coordinate internal, external, and customer audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Monitor compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Track and ensure closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and non-conformities.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, and other departments for QMS implementation.
• Maintain records of process audits, document control, and management review meetings.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor quality KPIs and prepare periodic reports for management.
• Ensure awareness and training of employees on quality procedures and standards.
• Support customer audits and ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements.
