Job summary

Burckhardt Compression AG in Pune, India is seeking an experienced 8D Moderator to lead structured problem-solving across the organization. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, drive root cause analysis, and ensure robust containment, corrective and preventive actions.

The role requires a strong background in Quality and Continuous Improvement within industrial environments, exceptional facilitation and training skills, and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Advanced quality certifications are highly desirable (ASQ, EOQ, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, Lead Auditor).
• Proven experience leading 8D investigations in a complex industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops, training programs and cross-functional problem-solving teams.
• Track record of delivering quality improvement or operational excellence projects.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality and/or Compliance functions.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience within an industrial manufacturing company
• Fluent professional English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong influencing and conflict-resolution capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Moderate and facilitate 8D projects for customer complaints, internal quality issues, and supplier-related non-conformities.
• Support the case owners with 8D methodology knowledge to drive the improvement projects to timely completion.
• Challenge teams constructively to ensure fast definition of containment actions, rigorous root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
• Monitor progress of 8D investigations and elevate risks or delays as required.
• Ensure compliance with 8D methodology as per company quality requirements.
• Moderate cross-functional workshops focused on problem-solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Train employees and leadership teams on 8D methodology and related quality tools.
• Coach problem-solving teams to improve analytical thinking and data-driven decision making.
• Promote application of the problem-solving methodologies, especially 8D.
