Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Quality Engineer for the Machine Shop in Ghaziabad, UP. The role focuses on ensuring product quality across machining processes, conducting inspections, and driving process improvements to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of machining processes (Turning, Milling, Grinding, CNC/VMC).
• Knowledge of GD&T and drawing interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with measurement tools (Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Indicator).
• Knowledge of SPC, CAPA, 8D, 7QC tools, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components.
• Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and quality plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis for machining-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor process capability and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Maintenance teams to improve quality performance.
• Review first-off approvals and process validations.
• Analyze rejection and rework trends and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure calibration compliance for measuring instruments used in the machine shop.
• Support customer and internal quality audits.

Job Overview
