Job summary

Ingersoll Rand Compressor Systems & Services in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, is seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee machine shop quality. You will monitor machining processes, perform in-process and final inspections, and drive corrective actions to meet drawings, GD&T, and customer requirements.

The role collaborates with Production and Maintenance, analyzes rejection trends, ensures calibration of measuring instruments, and supports internal and supplier audits.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of machining processes (Turning, Milling, Grinding, CNC/VMC).
• Knowledge of GD&T and drawing interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Indicator).
• Knowledge of SPC, CAPA, 8D, 7QC tools, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis for machining-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor process capability and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Review first-off approvals and process validations.
• Analyze rejection and rework trends and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure calibration compliance for measuring instruments used in the machine shop.
• Support customer and internal quality audits.

Job Overview
