Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Quality Engineer- Machine Shop in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. You will oversee quality across machining operations, perform inspections, and drive process improvements to meet customer requirements.

The role involves collaborating with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Maintenance to ensure product quality and compliance with quality plans, drawings, and GD&T standards.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of turning, milling, grinding, and CNC/VMC processes.
• Knowledge of GD&T and drawing interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, dial indicator, etc.
• Knowledge of SPC, CAPA, 8D, 7QC tools, PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components.
• Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and quality plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis for machining-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor process capability and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Maintenance teams to improve quality performance.
• Review first-off approvals and process validations.
• Analyze rejection and rework trends and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure calibration compliance for measuring instruments used in the machine shop.
• Support customer and internal quality audits.

Job Overview:
