Position Title: Quality Engineer I
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with program management and development teams to understand requirements and design.
- Design and review test cases for specific projects or components.
- Ensure test cases align with customer scenarios.
- Prioritize and schedule testing activities, providing accurate quality status updates.
- Assess the quality and risk impact of design changes or defect fixes.
- Raise issues related to test estimation and scheduling with stakeholders promptly.
- Explore automation solutions for testing processes.
- Execute test passes following the software testing lifecycle and share results.
- Develop automated test scripts using appropriate tools and libraries.
- Identify, report, and document defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Validate defect fixes with targeted test cases/scripts.
- Escalate quality issues appropriately and suggest solutions.
- Utilize test management tools effectively.
- Perform testing tasks independently, without heavy reliance on guidance.
- Develop and review test plans with stakeholders, incorporating feedback.
- Ensure documentation follows standardized procedures and approval processes.
Experience Required:
- 0-2 years of experience in testing.
- Experience in creating and executing test plans.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and SDLC, Agile practices.
- Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail in defect documentation.
- Effective communication skills within a matrixed organization.
- Passion for quality and performance.

Additional Skills:
- Experience with ServiceNow, automation tools like Selenium, JMeter, GitHub, and performance testing tools.
- Knowledge of web testing, accessibility tools, monitoring tools, dashboarding, and databases such as MongoDB, SQL, and Cassandra.
