Job summary

IGP is seeking a QA Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on QA experience, preferably in e-commerce. The role emphasizes automated testing, AI-assisted tooling, and comprehensive test planning across white-box, black-box, API, and performance testing.

You will work within an Agile environment, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with developers and product managers. Strong prompt-engineering skills and familiarity with Playwright are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience as a QA Engineer (e-commerce preferred).
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and strong prompt-engineering skills across varied testing scenarios.
• Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with white-box and black-box testing, API testing, and performance testing.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with the Playwright automation.
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development process and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech/BCA/MCA) in Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and execute testing activities.
• Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution.
• Perform thorough regression testing once bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products.
• Liaise with developers and product managers to clarify system requirements.
• Track quality assurance metrics such as defect density and open defects.
• Stay current with emerging testing tools, frameworks, and strategies.
• Be available during peak periods.
