Job summary

Steel Gems is seeking a QA/QC professional to oversee material testing and inspection processes in Mumbai. The role involves preparing and verifying MTCs, reviewing chemical and mechanical test reports, and inspecting materials at various stages of production.

Candidates will ensure compliance with ASTM, ASME, MSS, and customer specifications, coordinate multiple test reports (PMI, IGC, NDT), and maintain comprehensive quality records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify Material Test Certificates (MTC).
• Review chemical and mechanical test reports.
• Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished materials.
• Ensure compliance with ASTM, ASME, MSS, and customer specifications.
• Coordinate hydro test, PMI, IGC, hardness, ferrite, and NDT reports.
• Verify dimensions, markings, heat numbers, and traceability.
• Maintain quality records and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with production, purchase, and dispatch teams.
• Handle customer inspection and third-party inspection (TPI), if required.
