Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a Quality Engineer to establish QMS, manage quality assurance, and lead testing across OFC, CATV, and OPGW cables in a startup-like environment.

You will handle SOPs, ITPs, CAPA, and coordinate with RDSO, TEC/TSEC, and customers to ensure regulatory approvals and ongoing quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality engineering for telecom cables.
• Develop and maintain QMS documentation and SOPs.
• Handle inspections, testing (IQC/IPQC/FQC) and calibration traceability.
• Coordinate NABL/RDSO/TEC/TSEC approvals and audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QMS and SOPs to ensure product quality.
• Prepare ITPs, quality records, and validation documents.
• Coordinate routine, type, and acceptance testing.
• Support production, procurement and design teams for quality improvements.
• Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA actions.
• Manage customer complaints and audits; ensure ISO 9001 compliance.

Job Summary

Responsible for establishing QMS, quality assurance, inspections, testing, documentation, RDSO, TEC/TSEC approvals and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QMS.
• Prepare SOPs, ITPs and quality records.
• Handle IQC, IPQC and FQC.
• Coordinate routine, type and acceptance testing.
• Support production, procurement and design.
• Conduct RCA and CAPA.
• Manage customer complaints and audits.
• Maintain calibration and traceability.
• Ensure ISO 9001 compliance.

RDSO / TEC / TSEC Responsibilities

• Prepare approval documentation.
• Coordinate inspections and audits.
• Liaise with RDSO, TEC/TSEC and customers.
• Coordinate NABL testing.
• Maintain approval records and renewals.

Technical Skills

OFC, CATV, OPGW quality, cable testing, FMEA, 7 QC Tools, CAPA, MS Excel, ERP, documentation.

Knowledge of Standards

RDSO, TEC, TSEC, IEC, ITU-T, BIS, BSNL, Indian Railways, Power Utilities and ISO 9001:2015.

Preferred Experience

Quality of Unitube, Multitube, FTTH, Drop Cable, Armoured OFC, ADSS, OPGW and CATV cables.
