Job summary

MPS Archonic India is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to lead QA/QC across a large-scale industrial construction project. The role ensures compliance with project drawings, specifications, and ISO standards through inspections and trend analysis.

You will identify defects, perform root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality, safety, and customer satisfaction on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• CQE/CQA or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001) and local codes.
• Proven experience in QA/QC on multi-contractor industrial worksites.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software/tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure compliance with project specs and standards.
• Oversee testing of construction materials (e.g., concrete slump tests, cube tests, soil testing).
• Maintain detailed quality records including inspection reports and NCRs.
• Ensure adherence to ISO standards and local building codes.
• Identify, document, and resolve quality issues with corrective actions to minimize rework.
• Review inspection & test plans (ITPs) and QM statements from subcontractors.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies on quality matters.
• Participate in quality meetings, design reviews, and constructability reviews.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Engineer to lead and oversee quality assurance and quality control across all phases of a large-scale industrial construction project. The ideal candidate will ensure strict compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable regulatory/ISO standards through inspections and continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves identifying defects, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & not limited to:

• Conduct regular, daily, and final inspections on site to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and standards.
• Oversee testing of construction materials (e.g., concrete slump tests, cube tests, soil testing) to ensure quality.
• Maintain detailed quality records, including inspection reports, material testing results, non-conformance reports (NCR) and quality observation reports.
• Ensure adherence to ISO standards, local building codes, and applicable regulations.
• Identify, document, and resolve quality issues by implementing corrective actions to minimize rework.
• Review and approve inspection & test plans (ITPs) and quality method statements submitted by subcontractors.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies on quality matters.
• Participate in quality meetings, design reviews, and constructability reviews as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Preferred certifications include Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and applicable local building codes and regulations.
• Proven experience in quality assurance/quality control on multi-contractor industrial construction worksites.
• Excellent communication (especially in English), leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software/tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience in commissioning and startup phases of industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) and material testing methods.
• Exposure to Six Sigma / Lean process improvement techniques.
