Job summary

SITA in Bengaluru is seeking a Supplier Quality Management Specialist to help implement the supplier quality strategy and monitor performance across the supply base. You will collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement.

We expect 3–5 years in supplier quality or manufacturing quality, knowledge of ISO standards, and hands-on experience with quality tools.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or quality engineering.
• Knowledge of quality standards and management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14000).
• Practical experience with common quality tools and structured problem solving.
• Good communication and cross-functional teamwork.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and periodic re-evaluation activities.
• Monitor supplier quality performance using defined KPIs and report deviations.
• Prepare and conduct supplier audits and assessments under guidance of the Supplier Quality Manager.
• Manage supplier-related non-conformances including containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Apply and document quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, PPAP, and CAPA.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing to resolve operational quality issues.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) by coordinating supplier readiness activities.
• Maintain supplier quality documentation, records, and reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the supply base.

PURPOSE

Create and implement sourcing plans and strategies for a designated Business Unit /Support Function or Region. Develop and maintain supplier and internal stakeholder relationships for designated Business Unit /Support Function or Region and relevant suppliers. Make specific contributions towards cost saving and effectiveness targets.

Position Overview

The role focuses on monitoring supplier performance, resolving quality issues, and supporting continuous improvement activities in alignment with the Supplier Quality Manager.

Qualifications

• Initial to several years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or quality engineering.
• Basic to solid knowledge of quality standards and management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, 16949, ISO 14000 etc.).
• Practical experience with common quality tools and structured problem-solving methods.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

EXPERIENCE

'- At least 3 to 5 years experience in a purchasing role; - 1 year experience in developing quality control in a manufacturing enviroment

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
