Job summary

Canpac Trends Pvt. Ltd. in Moriaya, Changodar, Ahmedabad, is seeking a Quality Control professional with 2-5 years of experience in printing and packaging.

The role involves inspecting raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products, and ensuring compliance with specifications and customer requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating with Production/Prepress, maintaining QC documentation, and driving CAPA actions to reduce rejections and complaints.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/BTech in printing packaging or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in printing and packaging.
• Knowledge of offset printing and mono carton manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of quality inspection methods and packaging specifications.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Perform quality checks for offset printing, mono cartons, and packaging products.
• Ensure products meet specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
• Check printing quality, color, dimensions, GSM, cutting, creasing, folding, pasting, finishing.
• Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
• Coordinate with Production and Prepress teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain QC reports, rejection reports, and related documentation.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and support CAPA actions.
• Monitor rejection rates and customer complaints; reduce them.
• Ensure SOPs and inspection standards are followed.
• Support customer complaint investigations with quality reports.
• Calibrate/verify measuring instruments; conduct in-process audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspection of incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Perform quality checks for offset printing, mono cartons, paperboard, and packaging products.
• Ensure products comply with approved specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Check parameters such as printing quality, colour consistency, dimensions, GSM, cutting, creasing, folding, pasting, and finishing.
• Identify and report quality defects, deviations, and non-conformities during production.
• Coordinate with the Production and Prepress teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Maintain quality inspection reports, rejection reports and other QC documentation.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor and reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
• Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, quality procedures, and inspection standards.
• Support customer complaint investigation and prepare necessary quality reports.
• Ensure proper handling and calibration/verification of measuring and testing instruments.
• Conduct regular in-process quality audits and maintain records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Printing Technology, Packaging Technology, Mechanical, Production, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in printing and packaging.
• Good knowledge of offset printing and mono carton manufacturing processes.
