Job summary

Placenest Services Private Limited is seeking a QC Executive (Offset Printing) for our Harohalli facility. The role covers raw material inspection, in-process checks, COA preparation, and lab calibration.

You will analyze customer specifications, maintain traceability, and train operators to ensure quality compliance, with a focus on reducing defects and improving processes.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in Offset Printing QC or Packaging QC.
• Strong knowledge of raw material testing, in-process checks and COA preparation.
• Familiarity with lab instruments, calibration, and ISO/QMS documentation.
• Ability to analyze customer specifications and maintain traceability records.
• Good communication and training skills for quality compliance.

Responsibilities

• Raw Material Inspection: boards, Kraft, liner, adhesive, coating, film, etc., sampling, testing, reporting & recording.
• In-Process Checking: printing and post- printing quality checks as per SOPs and inspection test plans.
• Outgoing Quality: prepare and issue COA for finished goods before dispatch.
• Lab Management: maintain calibration records of instruments and ensure timely updates.
• Customer Specification Analysis: compare actual production results against client requirements.
• Job Traceability: maintain forward and backward traceability records for all jobs.
• Documentation: create job files with artwork, KLD, shade cards, approved dummies, and inspection records.
• Defect Detection: inspect incoming raw materials and finished printed products for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Process Development: assist in drafting QC procedures and testing protocols for press and post-press, reducing production defects.
• Trials & Feedback: conduct trials of new materials with production teams and share feedback with concerned departments.
• Continuous Improvement: train individuals to minimize customer complaints and drive process improvements.
• Shade Card Preparation: develop shade cards as per customer references and submit before material dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience: 2–5 years in Offset Printing QC / Packaging QC.
• Strong knowledge of raw material testing, in‑process checks, and COA preparation.
• Familiarity with lab instruments, calibration, and ISO/QMS documentation.
• Ability to handle customer specifications, shade card preparation, and traceability systems.
• Good communication skills and ability to train operators for quality compliance.
