Client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality team in Mumbai. Reporting into the Quality organization, this role is responsible for conducting finished goods inspections at vendor factories and manufacturing partner locations, ensuring all products meet client quality standards, product specifications, and brand expectations before shipment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fine jewelry inspection, strong technical knowledge of jewelry construction and materials, and a passion for maintaining the highest quality standards.
Perform finished goods inspections in accordance with quality standards, approved samples, product specifications, and inspection protocols.
Identify, classify, and document defects accurately and consistently based on established quality criteria.
Complete detailed inspection reports and maintain inspection records within required digital systems.
Ensure inspection documentation includes accurate product information, quantities inspected, defect descriptions, photographic evidence (when required), and final disposition results.
Communicate quality concerns, non-conformities, and potential risks to appropriate stakeholders.
Adhere to company policies, vendor site requirements, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards while working at external manufacturing locations.
Work independently while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality inspection role within the jewelry industry.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience inspecting fine jewelry.
Strong knowledge of:
Jewelry construction and manufacturing
Gemstones and diamonds
Gold and silver jewelry
Fine jewelry quality standards
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including:

GIA Certification.
Experience using microscopes for jewelry inspection.

Initial training period of 1 to 3 months in Thailand.
Periodic follow-up visits to Thailand based on business requirements.
Occasional travel within India (typically 1 to 3 days) to vendor and manufacturing partner .
