Job summary

Superplum is seeking a quality assurance professional in Greater Noida, India, to oversee the quality checks of fruits during their arrival at the distribution center. Responsibilities include providing feedback for improvements, ensuring correct dispatch quality, managing inventory, and training staff on quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of fruits, a dedication to learning, and no more than 2 years of experience in the field. Responsibilities

• Conduct quality checks on arriving fruits.
• Provide feedback to the procurement team on quality.
• Regularly check product quality in storage.
• Ensure correct quality and quantity during dispatch.
• Highlight unsuitable products for customers.
• Sort and grade products as per client requirements.
• Manage inventory and batches using software.
• Train labour on premium quality standards.
• Set quality parameters as per seasonal changes.

Job description

1. Quality checks to be done when the fruit first arrives at the DC – based on the sampling as well as the parameters defined. Provide feedback to procurement team on what needs to be improved in terms of packaging / quality of fruit etc.

2. Providing feedback to DC and working with them to correct dispatch quality issues

3. Regular check of the quality of the product that we have in storage and segregation as per the grading

4. At the time of dispatching ensuring that right quality / quantity is going out

5. Highlighting if there are products that should not be sold to certain customers

6. Getting sorting / grading done as per client’s requirements for certain important clients

7. Return stock grading and sorting if required

8. Managing inventory / batches using our inhouse software as required

9. Training of labour on what constitutes as “premium” quality fruits and what are acceptable defects / issues in the fruit

10. Setting the right parameters for quality and changing them as per season

11. Basic understanding of fruits and ripening processes etc. would be helpful

12. Need ownership and dedication to learn to be successful to be part of the organization

14. No more than 2 years of work experience in F&V
