Mettler Toledo International, Inc is seeking a proactive QA Tester to own planning and execution of test cases, identify and resolve bugs, and collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure a seamless user experience.

The role requires reviewing requirements, designing comprehensive test cases, and performing various testing types across web, desktop, and mobile applications. Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; 4–5 years of QA software testing experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with manual testing techniques.
• Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla).
• Basic knowledge of SQL/MongoDB databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Experience with web/mobile testing and tools like Playwright, Postman, Azure DevOps, Git.
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and CI/CD.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge.

• Ensure software meets quality standards before release.
• Maintain test documentation and reports; update regularly.
• Recommend and support continuous quality improvements to testing processes and tools.

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The role requires a proactive and self-driven QA Tester who takes ownership of planning and executing comprehensive test cases, identifying and resolving bugs independently, and actively collaborating with developers and product teams to ensure a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently understand, review, and assess requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure they are testable and verifiable, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Take initiative to design, write, execute, and maintain thorough test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform detailed manual testing of web, desktop, and/or mobile applications with minimal supervision.
• Proactively identify, log, track, and retest defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers to understand issues, verify fixes, and follow through until resolution.
• Conduct a wide range of testing types including functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, performance, and sanity testing.
• Actively participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning meetings, contributing insights to improve quality.
• Ensure that software meets or exceeds quality standards before release.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation and reports, updating them regularly.
• Recommend, implement, and support continuous quality improvements and enhancements to testing processes, procedures, tools, and work products to address deficiencies, ensure compliance, and improve overall efficiency.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred) 4-5 years of experience in QA software testing
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Experience with manual testing techniques
• Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of SQL/MongodB and databases (preferred)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Experience in web-based software testing and software testing tools, particularly Gherkin, SpecSync, Playwright, Git, Postman, Azure DevOps;
• Experience with agile development methodologies such as SCRUM, CI/CD
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge
