Job summary

Poly Products in Mumbai seeks a QA/QC Specialist to ensure every part meets tight specs from molded, welded, to machined components.

You will develop inspection plans, monitor process stability, and lead root-cause analysis (8D, CAPA) on nonconformances. Collaboration with production, tooling, and engineering is essential to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Job description

Poly Products manufactures precision plastic injection molded components for engineering applications. Beyond molding, we handle post-molding processes in house, including ultrasonic welding and machining, so we control quality from first shot to finished part. Our customers rely on us for parts that meet tight specs every time.

The Role: QA/QC Specialist

Our Quality team is one of the most valuable and high-impact teams in the company. Nothing ships without their sign-off.

In this role, you'll:

• Inspect and verify molded, welded, and machined parts against drawings and specs
• Build and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation
• Monitor process stability and catch issues before they reach the customer
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, CAPA) on nonconformances
• Run first article inspections and support new part launches
• Work closely with production, tooling, and engineering to improve processes
• Handle customer quality concerns and supplier quality issues

Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of plastic injection molding and common defects (short shots, flash, sink, warp, voids)
• Understanding of ultrasonic welding and how to verify weld quality and strength
• Familiarity with machining processes and dimensional control
• Knowledge of quality controls for each of these processes
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T
• Experience with measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, optical comparators
• Working knowledge of SPC, FMEA, PPAP, and ISO 9001 quality systems
• Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication
• Degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
