Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM majors.
• 2–4 years of experience in QA engineering.
• Experience in test automation with Playwright (JS/Python).
• Performance testing using JMeter.
• API automation testing using Postman/Playwright or RestAssured, plus SOAP/REST.
• Strong manual testing to derive functional, end-to-end, and integration cases.
• Experience executing automated test suites with Jenkins.
• Familiarity with project management tools (Trello/Rally/ADO).
• Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes for testing environments.
• Git/GitHub for version control and reviews.
• Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) testing pipelines.

Job Description

Degree Requirements:Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Years of Experience:2 to 4 years

Education in:Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

Technical Skills:

• Experience in Test Automation using Playwright and specifically writing code in Javascript and Python
• Exposure in Performance testing using JMeter
• Experience in API Automation testing, Specifically Postman/Playwright or RestAssured alongside SOAP/REST
• Strong Manual testing capabilities to derive Functional, End to End, Integration cases
• Experience in executing and monitoring automated test suites with Jenkins execution
• Experiencce in any Project management tools like Trello/Rally/ADO
• Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes for testing environments.
• Proficiency in Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative code reviews.
• Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and their respective testing/deployment pipelines.

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for testing a feature and or a small feature set. Contributes to the team and works with direction from Senior Team Members or management.

In this role, you will:

• Break down problems and estimates time for quality related tasks
• Demonstrate increasing expertise in application domain and functional areas
• Apply various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC
• Take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
• Work independently and delivers testing and use case creation which meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
• Write effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified, and tests remain valid when code is refactored
• Collaborate with Quality Leaders in creating test plans
• Contributes to the definition of quality metrics and follows established best practices and coding patterns
• Design and implement strategies for managing complex test data across multiple environments.

Desired Characteristics:

• Have a solid understanding of the underlying infrastructure needed to run a large distributed web application
• Experience in Power Systems domain software will be huge advantage
