Job summary

Enverus in India is seeking a QA Engineer to design and maintain manual and automated test frameworks for web applications and APIs. You will implement Playwright-based automation and API testing, while leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and coverage.

The role requires hands-on QA experience, Playwright for UI automation, and API testing with Postman. Collaboration with product teams and familiarity with VS Code/IntelliJ are essential for delivering robust, scalable testing solutions.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years hands-on QA experience (manual and automation).
• Playwright experience for UI automation (JS/TS or Python).
• API testing experience (REST/SOAP) using Postman or similar tools.
• VS Code / IntelliJ as IDE for development/testing.
• Familiarity with Claude or similar AI prompting tools for test generation.
• Understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing to validate functionality, usability, and edge cases.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated Playwright scripts for web testing.
• Perform API testing (functional, regression, and integration) using Postman.

• Analyse complex business logic and data flows to design effective test scenarios.
• Debug and troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and report defects clearly.

• Maintain and optimize existing automation frameworks for scalability and reliability.
• Use VS Code / IntelliJ for writing, debugging, and maintaining automation scripts.

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to design, develop, and maintain manual/automatedtest frameworks for our web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with manual and automatedtesting, Playwright-based automation, API testing, and version control practices, along with strong problem‑solving ability and an interest in leveraging AI tools to improve testing efficiency.

Performance Objectives

Competitive Candidate Profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in QA (manual + automation)
• Strong experience in manual testing — test case design, exploratory testing, regression testing, and defect reporting
• Experience in Playwright for UI/web automation (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python)
• Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman or similar tools
• Experience with VS Code / IntelliJ as a development/testing IDE
• Familiarity with prompting AI tools like Claude for generating test scripts, debugging, and improving productivity
• Good mathematical and logical reasoning skills to analyse complex scenarios, calculations, and data‑driven test cases
• Strong analytical skills to break down complex problems into testable components
• Understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC
• Good analytical and debugging skills

Good to Have (Optional)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Basic understanding of performance or load testing tools
