Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated QA Engineer Specialist to join our engineering team. You will ensure reliability and scalability of our web applications by building robust automated testing frameworks in a collaborative Agile environment.

You will lead testing of the UI in our data-driven engineering platform, guide the testing team, and design comprehensive test strategies to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience.
• Education in Computer Science or STEM Majors.
• Experience in Test Automation using Playwright with JavaScript and Python.
• Exposure in Performance testing using JMeter.
• Experience in API Automation testing with Postman/Playwright or RestAssured alongside SOAP/REST.
• Strong Manual testing capabilities to derive Functional, End to End, Integration cases.
• Experience in executing and monitoring automated test suites with Jenkins.
• Experience with project management tools like Trello/Rally/ADO.
• Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes for testing environments.
• Proficiency in Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative code reviews.
• Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and their testing/deployment pipelines.

• Apply principles of SDLC and Lean/Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
• Write effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified.
• Collaborate with Quality Leaders in creating test plans.
• Contributes to the definition of quality metrics and follows established best practices and coding patterns.
• Design and implement strategies for managing complex test data across environments.
