Software Engineer – QA Automation (Level 3)

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer – QA Automation (Level 3) with strong technical expertise and a passion for quality engineering. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks, collaborate closely with development teams, and drive quality assurance best practices across the product lifecycle. This is a senior-level role ideal for candidates who have hands‑on experience and are ready to take ownership of automation initiatives end‑to‑end.

Key Responsibilities Automation Design & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
• Implement reusable and maintainable test scripts using modern automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, REST Assured).
• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Ensure automation aligns with sprint goals, release timelines, and product requirements.

Quality Engineering & Strategy

• Define and execute quality assurance strategies across multiple projects.
• Champion "Shift-Left" testing practices and continuous integration of automation into the SDLC.
• Participate in test strategy, planning, and risk analysis discussions.
• Monitor test coverage and automation effectiveness, and recommend improvements.

Test Execution & Reporting

• Run automated test suites and validate build stability and regression results.
• Track and report defects with detailed logs and reproducibility information.
• Generate and share test execution reports with actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and product managers to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and QA planning sessions.
• Lead automation and testing process improvements for better efficiency and speed.
• Identify new testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance QA practices.

Mentorship & Leadership

• Mentor junior QA engineers and review their automation code for best practices.
• Contribute to QA documentation, training materials, and internal knowledge sharing.
• Support the QA Lead in building and standardizing automation frameworks across teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience in software QA and automation testing.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python for test automation.
• Expertise with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, REST Assured.
• Strong understanding of API testing, CI/CD integration, and version control (Git).
• Working knowledge of test management tools (Jira, TestRail).
• Familiarity with cloud‑based test execution platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm).
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA best practices.

Preferred Skills
