Qualifications

• Familiarity with Playwright is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and document comprehensive test scenarios and scripts covering functional, API, and UI requirements.

• Perform API validation and baseline performance testing (JMeter).

Job description

We are looking for a focused Test Automation Engineer with 1–2 years of hands‑on experience to drive product quality through consistent testing and automation. You will be responsible for expanding our regression suites, validating API integrity, and ensuring that defects are caught early in the Agile lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

• Test Development: Design and document comprehensive test scenarios and scripts that cover functional, API, and UI requirements.
• Automation Engineering: Develop and maintain robust automation scripts using Selenium, TestNG, or Appium to maximize regression coverage.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins or similar pipelines to enable continuous testing.
• API & Performance Testing: Write and execute automation scripts for API validation (REST/SOAP) and conduct baseline performance testing using JMeter.
• Defect Lifecycle Management: Identify and report defects in Jira, providing clear reproduction steps. Validate fixes and perform impact analysis through regression testing.
• Agile Participation: Engage in Sprint planning and reviews to provide testing estimates and ensure "Definition of Done" criteria are met.

Experience & Technical Skill Set

• Professional Experience: 1–2 years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
• Languages/Frameworks: Proven experience in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python) and automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium).
• Experience in Playwright will be an added advantage
• Tools: Practical experience with Jira for defect tracking, Git for version control, Postman for API testing, and Jenkins for CI/CD.
• Methodology: Solid understanding of the SDLC and experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
