You will be part of a dedicated engineering team supporting Toorak Capital Partners, a leading U.S.-based integrated correspondent lending platform that funds residential, multifamily, and mixed-use real estate loans across the U.S. and U.K. Headquartered in Summit, New Jersey, Toorak’s leadership team brings deep expertise across real estate lending, capital markets, securitization, asset management, and credit. Role Overview
We are hiring a hands-on Automation Engineer (3–5 years) to build and scale production-grade test automation frameworks for enterprise mortgage platforms.
This role is not execution-only QA—it requires engineering depth, framework ownership, and system-level thinking. You will design and drive automation architecture across UI, API, and service layers, ensuring reliability of high-volume, workflow-driven financial systems.
You will work closely with engineering teams to enable shift-left quality, continuous testing, and production stability in a cloud-native, microservices environment.
- Working knowledge of Playwright CLI/MCP and a foundational understanding of how AI/LLM models work, to effectively use AI-assisted automation tooling.
- Design modular, reusable, and maintainable automation architecture (POM, fixtures, service abstractions, utilities)
- Automate complex, real-world workflows across mortgage lifecycle:
- Customer onboarding
- Loan lifecycle events
- Enable continuous testing and fast feedback loops
- Build and maintain:
- UI regression suites
- Integration/E2E test coverage
- Improve test reliability and execution performance:
- Parallel execution
- Flaky test reduction
- Smart test selection strategies
- Validate fixes at system level
- Collaborate with:
- Frontend teams → UI stability
- Product teams → acceptance criteria clarity
- Mentor junior engineers and drive shift-left quality culture
