Job summary

Rahee Infratech Limited seeks a QA/QC professional to lead quality assurance on bridge construction projects. The role focuses on developing QA/QC procedures, overseeing material testing, and ensuring compliance with specifications across workmanship and documentation.

You will coordinate with execution, procurement and design teams, conduct site inspections, and train site staff on quality practices to ensure client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing QA/QC procedures on construction projects.
• Knowledge of ITP and QAP development and execution.
• Familiarity with material testing and laboratory calibration.
• Ability to liaise with authorities, consultants and clients.

Responsibilities

• Verify inputs of quality products per approved specs and standards.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

Critical Work Processes

Key Tasks

Ensure inputs of Quality Products

• All incoming materials test as per approved Inspection and Test Plan and Standards
• Ensure Quality of work executed is as per the relevant technical specification / standards
• Coordinating for all external lab test as per approved Inspection and Test Plan
• Develop and implement the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Inspection Test Plan (ITP) for the bridge project.
• Establish procedures for material testing, workmanship assessment, and documentation control.

Ensuring Quality Infrastructure

• Establishment of fully equipped laboratory with calibrated instruments.
• Ensure availability of Method statement and ITP, approved design mix and calibration of all equipments
• Ensure quality of construction materials, concrete, steel, and pre-cast elements used in bridge construction.
• Approve and review material test reports, third-party test results, and supplier quality certifications.
• Monitor curing, compaction, welding, and post-tensioning processes to prevent quality defects.

Ensuring Quality Awareness among the people by Training and establishment of Quality Standards

• Ensure timely identification and communication of QA/QC issues to project team by raising internal NCR/observation through monthly Quality meeting.
• Conducting training among the staff and workers on ongoing activities
• Work closely with execution, procurement, and design teams to maintain quality compliance.
• Conduct training sessions for site engineers, supervisors, and workers on quality practices.
• Ensure proper implementation of QA standards across subcontractors and vendors.

Review of Quality records and documents

• Verifying and maintenance of Quality records and documents
• Preparation and submission of Monthly Quality Reports, Daily Material Test Reports before every monthly billing cycle.
• Maintain QA/QC records, reports, and quality checklists for the project.
• Ensure documentation and approval of RFIs (Requests for Inspection), NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and test results.
• Liaise with government authorities, consultants, and clients for quality approvals and certifications.

Customer Satisfaction, Client Handling

• Weekly/Monthly Quality Walk with client for continual improvement and compliance within target date.
• Client Handling, Communication resolve issues (if any) with immediate effect
• Customer feedback by conducting client meeting.

Site Inspections & Audits

• Conduct regular quality audits, inspections, and site walkthroughs to identify defects or deviations.
• Ensure proper testing of concrete, steel, and other materials at approved laboratories.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality-related non-conformances.
