Job summary

IFF in Sricity, India, is seeking a quality-focused sensory evaluation specialist to strengthen our beverage and food product quality. You will lead sensory panel activities, evaluate raw materials, intermediates and finished products, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality and Technical teams to drive improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a Master\'s degree in a related science and 2–3 years\' experience in quality control.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related Science discipline.
  • 2–3 years of experience in Quality Control within beverage or food industry.
  • Strong organoleptic and sensory evaluation skills.
  • Understanding of sensory profiles, flavor characteristics, and quality assessment methodologies.
  • Ability to make objective quality decisions based on sensory observations and established standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct sensory evaluation of raw materials to ensure quality compliance and suitability for production.
  • Perform sensory assessment of intermediates and finished products against established sensory profiles and specifications.
  • Lead and coordinate sensory panel activities, ensuring consistency and reliability of evaluations.
  • Analyze sensory data and provide scientifically supported recommendations for product acceptance or rejection.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Technical teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Document, interpret, and communicate sensory evaluation results in a clear and professional manner.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, sensory standards, and evaluation processes.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Quality Control within the beverage or food industry.
  • Strong organoleptic and sensory evaluation skills.

  • Exposure to statistical analysis and interpretation of sensory data.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with manufacturing and production teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving quality improvements and maintaining high product consistency.
