Job summary

Saint Gobain in India is seeking a skilled laboratory professional to support routine and specialized testing across chemical, physical, and instrumental analyses within our production environment.

You will log data into LIMS, calibrate instruments like GC-MS, HPLC, and spectrophotometers, and promptly inform operations about process adjustments. The role emphasizes GLP adherence and safe handling of retention samples to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Sample Testing: Conduct routine and specialized chemical, physical, and instrumental testing (e.g., pH, viscosity, chromatography, moisture analysis, titration).
• Process Monitoring: Analyze hourly or batch samples from the production line and promptly notify operations of required process adjustments.
• Data Logging: Record all raw data and test results with absolute precision into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Equipment Calibration: Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot complex analytical laboratory instruments (e.g., GC-MS, HPLC, spectrophotometers).
• Out-of-Specification (OOS): Initiate and participate in OOS investigations when materials or process streams fall outside strict operating windows.
• Sample Retention: Organize, label, and safely store retention samples for future compliance or re-testing verification.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), chemical hygiene plans, and hazardous waste disposal regulations.
