Job description

The Officer / Executive – Quality Control will be responsible for performing analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, stability samples, and packing materials as per approved specifications and pharmacopeial standards. The role requires strong knowledge of laboratory instruments, GLP practices, documentation, investigation support, and regulatory compliance to ensure product quality, safety, and consistency.

Role & Responsibilities

• Perform testing of raw materials, finished products, in-process samples, and stability samples as per approved methods.
• Operate and maintain QC instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR, dissolution tester, pH meter, and related lab equipment.
• Prepare standard solutions, reagents, mobile phases, and analytical samples as per validated procedures.
• Record analytical results accurately in laboratory notebooks, worksheets, and electronic systems.
• Ensure all QC activities comply with GLP, GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Review specifications, test methods, COAs, and analytical documentation for assigned samples.
• Report OOS, OOT, deviations, and abnormal analytical observations to senior QC personnel.
• Support laboratory investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
• Maintain calibration, qualification, and preventive maintenance records for laboratory instruments.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals, reagents, and reference standards.
• Coordinate with QA, production, warehouse, and regulatory teams for sample testing and release timelines.
• Support method validation, method transfer, stability studies, and analytical troubleshooting.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards in the QC laboratory.
• Follow data integrity principles while generating, recording, and reviewing analytical data.
• Assist in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and laboratory compliance improvement activities.
