Job summary

CU Rise Analytics Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a QA Analyst to join its engineering team to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of software products. The role involves implementing testing standards, automating procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

The ideal candidate will design and execute test plans, identify defects, and provide actionable feedback aligned with data-driven quality assurance practices. 3–5 years of QA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
• Experience as a Test Analyst / QA Analyst
• Strong understanding of STLC and Defect Life Cycle
• Proficiency in SQL query writing for data validation
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps / Bugzilla

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and create test scenarios, test cases, and test data
• Perform manual testing (Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity)
• Validate data by writing and executing SQL queries
• Data validation testing between UI / API / Source systems / Database / Data Warehouse / Reports/Dashboards
• ETL testing including data extraction, transformation, and loading validation
• Data reconciliation between source and target systems
• Testing fact and dimension tables and verifying data integrity
• Identify defects and log them using JIRA / Azure DevOps / Bugzilla
• Work with Developers, BA, and Data Engineering for defect resolution
• Prepare and share test execution reports and defect metrics
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Daily standup, Sprint planning, Retrospective)

QA Analyst Job Description About the Role

We are seeking skilled QA Analysts to join our engineering team and ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality assurance, strong attention to detail, and expertise in modern testing methodologies and tools.

As a QA Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our development process by implementing our organizational testing standards, automating test procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and providing actionable feedback to improve our products.

Core Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and create test scenarios, test cases, and test data
• Perform manual testing (Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity)
• Validate data by writing and executing SQL queries
• Conduct data validation testing between:
• UI / API / Source systems Database Data Warehouse Reports/Dashboards
• Perform Data Warehousing testing including:
• Data extraction, transformation, and loading validation (ETL testing)

• Testing fact and dimension tables
• Verifying data integrity, completeness, and consistency
• Identify defects and log them using tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps
• Work closely with Developers, BA, and Data Engineering teams for defect resolution
• Prepare and share test execution reports and defect metrics
• Participating in Agile ceremonies (Daily standup, Sprint planning, Retrospective)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3 to 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing (excluding internship if any)
• Experience as a Test Analyst / QA Analyst
• Strong understanding of STLC and Defect Life Cycle
• Good knowledge of manual testing processes and methodologies
• Proficiency in SQL query writing for data validation
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts
• Star schema / Snowflake schema
• Fact tables and Dimension tables
• Data modeling basics
• Data validation and reconciliation techniques
• Basic understanding of ETL process and data pipeline testing
• Familiarity in using any of the AI tools such as Claude, OpenAI, and Microsoft Copilot.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools: JIRA / Azure DevOps / Bugzilla
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Good to have Skills (Preferred)

• Experience Exposure to ETL tools (any)
• Experience with BI reporting tools like Power BI / Tableau
• Awareness of Automation Testing tools (Selenium / Playwright)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure / AWS / GCP
• Experience with continuous testing in DevOps environments
