Job summary

Grant Thornton in Mumbai is seeking a CA with 0-2 years of finance function experience to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and contribute to financial reporting. The role covers AP/AR, banking, intercompany, inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and monthly closings.

You will work with seniors on client and internal assignments, and prepare predefined management reports and IGAAP-compliant financial statements. Proficiency in TallyERP/SAP/Navision/Oracle EBS and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of finance function experience.
• Qualified CA.
• Experience with accounting ERP systems like TallyERP, SAP, Navision or Oracle EBS.
• Strong MS Office skills especially Excel.
• Understanding of accounting processes O2C, P2P and R2R.

Responsibilities

• Recording and managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities (AP, AR, employee reimbursements).
• Daily banking transactions and periodic bank reconciliations.
• Intercompany transactions and reconciliation; inventory accounting; fixed assets register and related accounting.
• Monthly accruals and provisions; periodic closure of books; filing and document maintenance.
• Preparation of management reports and IGAAP-compliant financial statements; interaction with auditors.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:

The candidate should have a strong background in finance function management and understand financial reporting requirement. The candidate should be able to deliver and manage assigned task and responsibilities with stringent delivery timelines and should be open to learning and exploring new areas of expertise

Responsible for recording and managing the day-to-day bookkeeping activities as per below details:

• Day to day transactions related to accounts payable, account receivable and employee reimbursement
• Daily banking transactions & periodic bank reconciliations
• Intercompany transactions & reconciliation
• Inventory accounting
• Fixed assets register & related accounting
• Monthly accruals and provisions
• Periodic closure of books of accounts
• Maintenance of proper filing of documents
• Statutory tax payments- TDS returns and GST returns
• Work closely with seniors to execute client and internal assignments
• Preparing of predefined and need based Management reports
• Preparation of IGAAP compliant financial statements and interaction with auditors

Desired Profile:

• 0-2 years of finance function experience
• Qualified CA
• Accounting Software -TallyERP/ SAP/Navision/Oracle EBS or any other accounting ERP
• Good knowledge of MS office (Excel/Word)
• Good knowledge of accounting processes O2C, P2P and R2R
• Good knowledge of accounting and financial reporting and related rules and regulations (Income-tax Act, Companies Laws, GST etc.)
