Job summary

Assystem Stup in Hyderabad is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage critical financial and quantitative aspects of construction projects. This role demands precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining project integrity.

You will quantify from drawings, verify quantities, prepare estimates and bills, maintain WBS and baselines, and ensure CPWD standards compliance. Travel to outstation sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering required.
• 8–10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Cost Estimation in buildings sector.
• Solid knowledge of structural and architectural items and methods for buildings (commercial/residential, airports, metro stations, warehouses).
• Strong understanding of contract conditions and CPWD publications (DSR, PAR, MORTH, M S PWD).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office; Revit/BIM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute meticulous quantification from drawings, design information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Verify quantities provided by Engineers or Suppliers for project accuracy.
• Obtain and analyse quotations from suppliers and vendors for cost-effective decisions.
• Develop and structure estimates, bills of quantities, and bills of materials.
• Perform rate analysis to support realistic project costing.
• Maintain robust WBS structures to track cost information.
• Establish and track baseline budgets and fiscal responsibility.
• Deliver timely reporting and liaise with project team and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of CPWD Publications and industry standards.
• Travel outstation as required to interact with clients.

Job Description

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for critical financial and quantitative aspects of construction projects. This role demands precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining project integrity.

• Execute meticulous quantification from drawings, design information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct thorough verification of quantities provided by Engineers or Suppliers to maintain project accuracy.
• Diligently obtain and analyse quotations and pricing from suppliers and vendors to support cost-effective decision-making.
• Develop and structure comprehensive estimates, bills of quantities, and bills of materials with utmost precision.
• Perform in-depth rate analysis to ensure competitive and realistic project costing.
• Implement and maintain robust project WBS structures to effectively track and control cost information.
• Establish, set, and rigorously track project baseline budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and project viability.
• Deliver accurate and timely reporting of project information, including professional liaison with broader project team members and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of CPWD Publications, DSR, and other relevant industry standards.
• Must be ready to travel outstation as and when required for interacting with client

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• A degree in Civil or Construction Engineering is mandatory.
• A minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in the buildings sector, specifically in Quantity Surveying and Cost Estimation, is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Structural and Architectural items and methods used in the construction of buildings (including Commercial and Residential complexes, Airports, Metro Stations, and Warehouses) is essential.
• A thorough understanding of contract conditions is essential.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software is non-negotiable, including:
• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Expertise in Revit or BIM software will be considered a significant advantage.
• In-depth familiarity with CPWD publications is crucial, including:
• Delhi Schedule of Rates (DSR)
• Plinth Area Rates (PAR)
• MORTH Specifications
• Maharashtra State PWD Schedule of Rates
