Job summary

Kuksons Electronics in Pune invites an experienced Sr QC Executive & Manager / Team Lead Quality & FAT to lead end-to-end quality inspection, FAT activities for electrical control panels and automation projects.

The role requires hands-on testing, CAPA implementation, NCR handling, and coordination with Automation, Design, Production, Projects and Service teams; strong knowledge of IEC/IS standards and Siemens systems is preferred.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr QC Executive & Manager / Team Lead Quality & FAT with strong experience in Industrial Automation, Siemens systems, Electrical Control Panel Manufacturing, Quality Control, Testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end quality inspection, testing and FAT activities for MCC, PCC, PLC, VFD and Automation Control Panels, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, approved drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete Quality Control and FAT function for electrical control panels and automation projects.
• Conduct and supervise FAT, electrical testing, functional testing and inspection of control panels.
• Ensure quality compliance during panel manufacturing, wiring, assembly, testing and final inspection.
• Review and verify SLD, GA drawings, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, control schematics, BOM/EBOM and customer specifications.
• Verify Siemens PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD/Drives, I/O, communication, alarms and interlocks during FAT.
• Coordinate with Automation, Design, Production, Projects and Service teams for quality and testing activities.
• Lead customer inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests, ensuring timely closure of observations and punch points.
• Identify quality issues, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Manage NCRs, rework, rejection and customer complaints and drive continuous quality improvement.
• Prepare and maintain FAT reports, inspection reports, test reports, ITP, quality checklists, NCRs and punch-point closure reports.
• Manage, guide and train the QC and FAT team.
• Ensure testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IEC/IS standards, customer specifications and company quality procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Electrical Control Panel Manufacturing / Industrial Automation.
• Hands-on knowledge of Siemens PLC, HMI, SCADA and VFD/Drives.
• Experience with MCC, PCC, PLC, VFD, APFC and Automation Panels.
• Strong knowledge of Control Panel Testing and FAT.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Knowledge of electrical testing instruments such as Multimeter, Megger and Hi-Pot Tester.
• Good understanding of industrial automation and control panel integration.
• Experience in Customer Inspection, FAT and Technical Coordination.
• Strong team management, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and quality documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in Siemens System Integrators, Industrial Automation Companies, Electrical Control Panel Manufacturing, EPC or Engineering Projects will be preferred.
