Job summary

AmpereHour Energy is seeking a detail-oriented FAT Engineer (Electrical) to oversee Factory Acceptance Testing activities for electrical panels and BESS containers. The role involves conducting electrical inspections, verifying drawings and schematics, performing functional and insulation tests, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards before dispatch.

The candidate will coordinate with customers, consultants and third-party inspection agencies while maintaining accurate testing

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical panels and switchgear
• Understanding of electrical drawings and protection schemes
• Familiarity with testing instruments such as megger, multimeter, Power Analyser
• Knowledge of FAT procedures and documentation
• Experience handling customer FAT and third-party inspections

Responsibilities

• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for electrical panels and BESS containers before dispatch
• Verify electrical drawings, GA drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics prior to testing
• Perform functional testing and insulation resistance tests
• Coordinate with customers, consultants and third-party inspection agencies during FAT
• Prepare and maintain FAT reports, test certificates and inspection documents
• Identify non-conformities (NC) and coordinate with production & Engineering for corrective actions
• Support pre-dispatch inspection and documentation
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards during testing activities

The role involves conducting electrical inspections, verifying drawings and schematics, performing functional and insulation tests, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards before dispatch. The candidate will coordinate with customers, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies while maintaining accurate testing and inspection documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for electrical panels, BESS Container before dispatch.
• Verify electrical drawings, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics prior to testing.
• Perform functional testing and insulation resistance tests.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies during FAT.
• Prepare and maintain FAT reports, test certificates, and inspection documents.
• Identify non-conformities (NC) and coordinate with the production & Engineering team for corrective actions.
• Support pre-dispatch inspection and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards during testing activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Good knowledge of electrical panels and switchgear systems.
• Understanding of electrical drawings and protection schemes.
• Familiarity with testing instruments such as megger, multimeter, Power Analyser etc.
• Knowledge of FAT procedures and documentation.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and inspection agencies.
• Knowledge of IEC / IS standards for electrical panels.
• Experience handling customer FAT and third-party inspections
