Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final quality inspection of CT/PT transformers and mechanical components.
• Inspect raw materials, bought-out parts, fabricated components, and assemblies as per drawings and specifications.
• Check dimensions, tolerances, fitment, welding, surface finish, and assembly quality.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, BOMs, and inspection standards.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, NCRs, and quality records.
• Coordinate with Production, Design, and Stores teams to resolve quality issues.
• Identify defects and support root-cause analysis and CAPA.
• Ensure products comply with customer specifications and quality standards.
• Assist in incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
• Maintain proper documentation and traceability of inspection results.
• Support internal/customer inspections and audits when required.

Job Responsibilities

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
• Good understanding of mechanical measurements and inspection instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and gauges.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T basics.
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication inspection is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of 7 QC tools, 5 Why, RCA, and CAPA.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Word.

Eligibility

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 1 year in QC/QA, preferably in CT/PT Transformer, electrical equipment, fabrication, or manufacturing industry.
• Freshers with relevant internship/training may also be considered, depending on company requirements.
