What your day will look like
- Lead and mentor a global team of QA engineers, driving best practices in automation and release quality.
- Define and implement QA roadmap for Web UI E2E automation (using Playwright); API automation for REST endpoints; Mobile UI E2E automation on iOS/Android (Detox); Load/performance testing (k6).
- Proactively track automation progress against the roadmap and ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
- Own and coordinate release testing cycles, ensuring quality gates are met prior to production deployment.
- Integrate and maintain automated tests in CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable feedback loops.
- Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and Product stakeholders to align on test coverage, QA resource allocation, and quality goals.
- Troubleshoot complex automation failures and drive resolution across platforms.
- Foster a culture of ownership and accountability, focusing on delivery, visibility, and scalability.
- Track and communicate test coverage, risks, and release readiness across teams.
- Ensure efficient prioritisation and time management based on sprint goals and delivery timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in automation testing across Web, API, and Mobile platforms.
- 3+ years of experience in a QA leadership or technical lead role.
- Strong coding skills in TypeScript or JavaScript; experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Detox, BDD (e.g., Cucumber).
- Solid knowledge of REST API testing strategies.
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOps.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, both in automation debugging and team coordination.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across both technical and business domains.
