Qualifications

• >5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2+ years in a team lead or managerial capacity overseeing multiple products.
• Hands-on, deep expertise with Playwright is required.
• Strong experience embedding automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Solid proficiency with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust).
• Strong programming skills (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java) with ability to conduct thorough code reviews for test automation code.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and highly technical QA Team Lead to spearhead our quality assurance initiatives across multiple product lines. In this role, you will balance people management with technical leadership, driving the strategy for automation, performance testing, and continuous integration.

As a QA Lead, you won't just maintain the status quo—you will have the autonomy to initiate, design, and implement new testing processes from scratch. Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Delivery

• Manage and mentor a growing team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
• Oversee QA deliverables across multiple parallel products, ensuring resource allocation aligns with business priorities and launch timelines.
• Act as the bridge between QA, Product Management, and Engineering to ensure alignment on requirements and definition of done.

Process Innovation & Strategy

• Initiate and champion new QA processes, methodologies, and KPIs to elevate product quality and team efficiency.
• Shift the testing paradigm "left" by integrating QA early into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Technical Leadership & Automation

• Design, scale, and maintain robust automation frameworks with a strong emphasis on Playwright.
• Establish rigorous code review practices for automated test scripts to ensure maintainability, scalability, and clean code standards.
• Own the integration of automated suites into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable, fast, and actionable test feedback loops.
• Architect and execute performance and load testing strategies to guarantee system reliability under peak traffic.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2+ years in a team lead or managerial capacity overseeing multiple products.
• Automation Mastery: Proven track record of building and scaling automation frameworks. Hands-on, deep expertise with Playwright is required.
• CI/CD Expertise: Strong experience embedding automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Performance Testing: Solid proficiency with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6, Locust).
• Code Review & Quality: Strong programming skills (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java) with a proven ability to conduct thorough code reviews for test automation code.
• Process Driven: Demonstrated success in introducing new QA workflows, test case management tools, or testing methodologies that measurably improved velocity or quality.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Background in testing microservices and API-driven architectures.
