Job summary

LEAMS Education Services (Gamma Holdings Ltd.) seeks a QA/QC Manager – Civil to lead the Quality Assurance & Quality Control team on major civil projects in Kerala. You will develop QA/QC plans, supervise inspections, and ensure compliance with drawings, IS codes, and contract requirements.

Lead the QA/QC engineers and site inspectors, review ITPs, manage NCR/CAPA, and coordinate with consultants and clients to deliver quality handover documentation.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 10–15+ years QA/QC in high-rise or large civil projects.
• Knowledge of IS Codes, NBC, concrete finishing quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the QA/QC Plan for projects.
• Ensure civil works comply with drawings, specs, IS codes, and contracts.
• Lead QA/QC team including engineers and inspectors.
• Review ITPs and quality documentation for approvals.
• Conduct stage-wise inspections for RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, finishing.
• Monitor concrete quality via slump tests and cube testing.
• Raise and close NCRs and CAPA actions.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) Plan.
• Ensure all civil works comply with approved drawings, specifications, IS codes, and contract requirements.
• Establish quality procedures, inspection checklists, and method statements for site activities.
• Lead and manage the QA/QC team, including QA engineers and site inspectors.
• Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and quality documentation.
• Conduct stage-wise inspections for RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, finishing, and structural works.
• Monitor concrete quality through slump tests, cube testing, and laboratory coordination.
• Verify material approvals, factory test certificates, and incoming material inspections.
• Raise, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams during inspections.
• Conduct internal quality audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Maintain QA/QC records including MIRs, RFIs, test reports, and inspection reports.
• Analyze quality trends and prepare weekly/monthly quality performance reports.
• Provide quality training and toolbox sessions to engineers and site staff.
• Ensure timely closure of client observations and handover quality documentation.

Requirements

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 10–15+ years of experience in QA/QC for high-rise building or large civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of IS Codes, NBC, concrete technology, and finishing quality standards.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and quality documentation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
