Job summary

Voltech HR Services (VHRS) seeks an experienced Painting QA/QC inspector for refinery and EPC projects in India. The candidate should have 5+ years in painting/coating QA/QC and hold BGAS Grade 2 or NACE/AMPP Level 2 certifications.

Strong knowledge of surface preparation, inspection procedures, and coating systems used in petrochemical environments is required. Proficiency with Excel and reporting is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Painting/Coating QA/QC activities in Refinery, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, LNG, Tankage, Pipeline, or EPC projects.
• Mandatory certification: BGAS Grade 2 Painting Inspector OR equivalent, NACE Level 2 / AMPP Coating Inspector Level 2.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, abrasive blasting, painting, coating inspection, and preservation requirements.
• Familiarity with painting specifications, coating data sheets, ITPs, and inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform coating inspections and verify compliance with project specifications.
• Review drawings, vendor recommendations, and coating data sheets.
• Prepare inspection records, ITPs, and reports; coordinate with site teams and contractors.
• Utilize coating inspection instruments to assess surface prep and coating quality.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Painting/Coating QA/QC activities in Refinery, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, LNG, Tankage, Pipeline, or EPC projects.
• Mandatory certification: BGAS Grade 2 Painting Inspector OR equivalent, NACE Level 2 / AMPP Coating Inspector Level 2.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, abrasive blasting, painting, coating inspection, and preservation requirements.
• Familiarity with painting specifications, coating data sheets, ITPs, and inspection procedures.
• Proficient in using coating inspection instruments such as: DFT Gauge, Surface Profile Gauge, Holiday Detector, Dew Point Meter, Environmental Monitoring Instruments
• Knowledge of coating systems used in refinery and petrochemical projects.
• Familiarity with ISO 8501, SSPC, NACE/AMPP, ASTM, and project-specific painting standards.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and vendor recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
