Job summary

Nexus Horizon International Engineering Consultants seeks an experienced E&I Engineer to join our Engineering and Quality team in Abu Dhabi. A Bachelor’s in Electrical or Instrumentation engineering is required along with strong QA/QC knowledge.

The candidate will supervise E&I activities, review drawings and ITPs, enforce standards, and ensure proper documentation and testing across projects in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience in E&I engineering, construction, QA/QC, or inspection.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, inspection processes, and testing requirements.
• Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Experience with inspection, testing, installation, commissioning, and quality documentation.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Abu Dhabi/UAE project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Electrical & Instrumentation engineering and construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and project requirements.
• Review electrical and instrumentation drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and inspection procedures.
• Ensure E&I works comply with international standards, project specs, and client requirements.
• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures for E&I works.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams on technical and quality matters.
• Identify quality issues, raise NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure documentation and closeout of inspections, testing, punch lists, and quality records.

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline, along with strong knowledge of quality standards and engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor Electrical & Instrumentation engineering and construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Review electrical and instrumentation drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and inspection procedures.
• Ensure all E&I works comply with applicable international standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures for electrical and instrumentation works.
• Conduct inspections and coordinate testing activities for electrical and instrumentation installations.
• Review and verify material certificates, inspection reports, test results, and equipment documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams on technical and quality-related matters.
• Identify quality issues, raise NCRs where required, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper documentation and closeout of inspections, testing, punch lists, and quality records.
• Monitor installation, testing, commissioning, and pre-commissioning activities as applicable.
• Ensure measuring and testing equipment is properly calibrated and certified.
• Participate in quality audits and support compliance with the project Quality Management System.
• Provide technical support to site teams and resolve E&I engineering and quality issues.
• Prepare and review technical reports, inspection records, and other project documentation.
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering
• Experience in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) engineering, construction, QA/QC, or inspection.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, QA/QC procedures, ITPs, inspection processes, and testing requirements.
• Good knowledge of applicable electrical and instrumentation codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Experience with inspection, testing, installation, commissioning, and quality documentation.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Abu Dhabi/UAE project experience is preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications in QA/QC or E&I will be an advantage.
