Job description

Quality Assurance Manager – Home Business (Household, Furniture,home linen)

Lead the Quality Assurance function for the Home Business division, ensuring product excellence, process integrity, and superior customer experience across furniture, furnishings, and home décor categories. This role requires strong operational execution.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Strategy Execution & Governance
  • Execute and monitor QA strategy aligned with overall business objectives
  • Define and track quality benchmarks and KPIs across product categories
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Manage and guide QA and QC teams to ensure timely planning and execution of inspections
  • Oversee departmental administrative activities, including testing, travel, and third-party inspection costs
  • Coordinate with third-party laboratories for product testing and compliance validation
Product Quality Management
  • Oversee quality evaluations for inbound merchandise, vendor samples, and store displays
  • Drive reduction in defects and damages through structured quality control and improvement initiatives, minimizing overall cost of quality
  • Ensure compliance with safety, durability, and aesthetic standards
  • Collaborate with design, sourcing, and merchandising teams to embed quality at early stages of product development
Vendor & Factory Audits
  • Conduct periodic audits of vendor facilities , distribution centre and store.
  • Develop vendor performance scorecards and drive corrective action plans
  • Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing, regulatory, and sustainability standards
Customer Experience & Feedback
  • Analyze customer complaints, returns, and failure trends to identify systemic quality gaps
  • Partner with customer service and retail teams for effective resolution of quality issues
  • Implement preventive measures to reduce recurrence of defects
Team Leadership
  • Manage a high-performing QA team across regions
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with supply chain, sourcing, operations, and retail teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. Knowledge of lean management and six sigma preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in furniture and hardgoods categories
  • Strong knowledge of product testing, compliance standards, and audit methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
