Responsibilities

• QA Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor the QA team across projects and releases, assign tasks, review deliverables, ensure processes and timelines.
• Manual Testing: Plan and oversee testing across web, mobile, and device-based apps; ensure coverage for various testing types.
• Device Testing: Lead hands-on testing across devices, platforms, browsers, and OS; document defects clearly.
• Defect Management: Log defects with details, track lifecycle, triage with dev teams, prevent recurrence.
• Client Coordination: Communicate with international clients for requirements, UAT support, status updates; manage expectations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with developers, PMs, BAs, DevOps; participate in agile ceremonies.
• Automation Testing Support: Identify test cases for automation and coordinate with automation engineers.
• QA Process Improvement: Improve templates, test coverage, release validation, and reusable QA docs.

Roles & Responsibilities :-

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead with 5-8 years of experience to lead quality assurance activities across multiple applications and devices. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual testing, hands‑on device testing, team handling, client coordination, and QA process management.

This role requires someone who can independently manage the QA team, plan testing activities, review test coverage, track defects, coordinate with development teams, and ensure high‑quality project delivery. The candidate will also work directly with foreign/international clients, so excellent communication, ownership, and problem‑solving skills are essential.

Exposure to automation testing and the ability to support QA process improvements will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:-

QA Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage the QA team across multiple projects and releases.
• Assign tasks to QA team members based on project priorities and timelines.
• Review test cases, test execution progress, bug reports, and QA deliverables.
• Mentor QA engineers and help improve their testing, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ensure the QA team follows defined testing processes, project standards, and delivery timelines.
• Act as the primary QA owner for assigned projects.

Manual Testing

• Plan, execute, and oversee manual testing activities across web, mobile, and device‑based applications.
• Review functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business workflows.
• Ensure proper test coverage for functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, UI, usability, and compatibility testing.
• Validate critical business workflows before release.
• Ensure positive, negative, boundary, and edge‑case scenarios are covered during testing.

Device Testing

• Lead hands‑on device testing across different devices, platforms, browsers, screen sizes, and operating systems.
• Identify device‑specific issues related to functionality, UI, responsiveness, compatibility, and performance behavior.
• Maintain device testing coverage reports and compatibility observations.
• Guide the team in reproducing and documenting device‑specific defects clearly.

Defect Management

• Ensure defects are logged with complete details including severity, priority, environment, screenshots/videos, logs, and reproduction steps.
• Monitor the defect lifecycle from reporting to closure.
• Conduct defect triage with development teams and project stakeholders.
• Track recurring issues and recommend preventive actions.
• Ensure critical and high‑severity defects are escalated on time.

Client Coordination

• Coordinate directly with foreign/international clients for requirement clarification, UAT support, defect discussion, and status updates.
• Provide clear QA status reports, risks, blockers, and release readiness updates.
• Represent the QA function professionally in client meetings.
• Manage client expectations around testing timelines, issue resolution, and delivery quality.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with developers, project managers, business analysts, product teams, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning meetings.
• Ensure QA dependencies are identified and communicated early.
• Support development teams in reproducing, validating, and closing issues.

Automation Testing Support

• Support automation testing initiatives where applicable.
• Identify stable and repeatable test cases suitable for automation.
• Coordinate with automation engineers or developers to improve test coverage.
• Review automation execution results and highlight failures or gaps.
• Exposure to Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Postman, or similar tools will be preferred.

QA Process Improvement

• Improve QA processes, templates, checklists, test coverage, and reporting standards.
• Implement best practices for test planning, execution, defect tracking, and release validation.
• Create reusable QA documentation and testing assets.
• Help improve release quality, reduce defect leakage, and strengthen QA ownership across projects.
