Job summary

TechAhead is seeking an experienced QA Lead to drive quality across Android, iOS, and cross‑platform mobile apps. You will own QA strategy, test planning, automation framework development, and end‑to‑end release readiness.

Lead a team of QA Engineers, SDETs, and Automation Testers, mentor them, and collaborate with product, development, design, and DevOps to ensure product quality throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of QA experience with leadership exposure.
• Strong expertise in Mobile Application Testing (Android & iOS).
• Hands-on experience with Appium, Playwright, TestNG or similar frameworks.
• API testing using Postman and REST Assured.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

QA Leadership & Strategy

• Define and implement QA strategies, standards, and best practices.
• Lead and mentor QA Engineers, SDETs, and Automation Testers.
• Drive test planning, estimation, execution, and release sign-offs.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, Design, and DevOps teams.

Automation & Quality Engineering

• Design and maintain automation frameworks using Appium and related tools.

• Improve automation coverage and execution reliability.
• Drive shift-left testing and quality metrics.

Defect & Release Management

• Manage defect lifecycle and root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with development teams to resolve critical issues.
• Support release readiness and production validation.
• Track quality KPIs and provide stakeholder reporting.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of QA experience with at least 3 years in a Lead role.
• Strong expertise in Mobile Application Testing (Android & iOS).
• Hands-on experience with Appium, Playwright, TestNG or similar frameworks.
• API testing using Postman and REST Assured.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Playwright or other modern automation frameworks.
• Performance and security testing.Experience in enterprise mobile applications.
