Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA professional with strong expertise in ETL Testing, Data Validation, and Synthetic Test Data Management. The candidate should have hands‑on experience in validating large‑scale data migration, data warehouse, and reporting systems. The role involves working closely with business, development, ETL, and analytics teams to ensure high‑quality data delivery across applications and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end‑to‑end ETL and Data testing.
• Validate data flow from source systems to staging and target systems.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL mappings, transformations, and data pipelines.
• Perform source‑to‑target data validation and reconciliation testing.
• Validate data quality, completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Create, manage, and validate Synthetic Test Data for functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Work with large datasets and ensure masking/compliance requirements are maintained while generating test data.
• Execute SQL queries for backend and database testing.
• Analyze business requirements, mapping documents, and functional specifications.
• Perform regression, integration, and system testing for data applications.
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders during sprint execution.
• Support automation initiatives for ETL and data validation testing.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide QA status updates.
• Prepare test strategy, test plan, and test execution reports.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing.
• Hands‑on experience in SQL with strong query‑writing skills.
• Experience in validating complex transformations and data mappings.
• Experience in Synthetic Test Data creation, management, and validation.
• Understanding of data masking, test data provisioning, and privacy/compliance requirements.
• Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, Fact & Dimension tables, and Star/Snowflake schema.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, or similar.
• Experience in cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of BI/Reporting testing using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos.
• Experience in API and backend testing.
• Exposure to automation frameworks for ETL/Data testing.
• Experience with Python or scripting for data validation and test data generation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in Agile methodology.

Preferred Domain Experience

• Audit domain experience preferred.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
