Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain documentation for KPI solution packages including business rules, data mappings, and column-level definitions.
• Design and execute testing approaches using optimized SQL queries to validate KPI calculations and data accuracy.
• Validate data across all records, considering period types and reporting dimensions and break scenarios.
• Establish scalable, end-to-end testing methodologies beyond single-condition checks.
• Identify and automate test scenarios in parallel with QA activities.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to review requirements, align test plans, and improve coverage.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with strong expertise in SQL-based testing and data validation to support a growing analytics and KPI reporting landscape. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating KPI metrics, developing comprehensive test strategies, collaborating with development teams, and driving automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for KPI Solution Packages (SPs), including:
  • Business rules
  • Data mappings
  • Column-level definitions and logic
• Design and execute robust testing approaches using optimized SQL queries to validate:
  • KPI calculations and metrics
  • Data accuracy across all records
  • Different period types and reporting dimensions
  • Various data break scenarios
• Move beyond single-condition validation and establish scalable, end-to-end testing methodologies.
• Identify and automate suitable test scenarios in parallel with ongoing QA activities.
• Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to:
  • Review testing requirements
  • Align test plans
  • Improve functional and data validation coverage
• Perform root cause analysis of data discrepancies and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Support onboarding and mentoring of additional QA resources as project scope expands.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and Data Testing
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and database testing
• Experience creating and executing detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases
• Strong knowledge of data validation, ETL testing, and KPI/reporting validation
• Ability to analyze complex business rules and translate them into test scenarios
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake and Python
• Exposure to automation testing frameworks and scripting
