Lexifyd is hiring a QA Engineer to own quality end-to-end across Android, iOS, and web apps for multiple languages. You will plan, execute, and automate tests, ensure API and backend reliability, and participate in release sign-off.

The role emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration with engineers, designers, language experts and educators. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of hands-on testing experience, proficiency in Playwright/Mobilewright/Appium or Maestro, API testing with Postman/REST

Responsabilités

• Plan and run functional, regression and exploratory tests across devices, OS versions and browsers.
• Write clear test cases and test plans from requirements and designs.
• Build and maintain automated tests for our web and mobile apps, and run them in our CI pipelines so every release is checked before it ships.
• Test our APIs and backend: responses, error handling, and the data they store in the database.
• Script and run performance, load and stress tests on APIs and critical user flows, and report the bottlenecks you find.
• Check Indian-language input and display: keyboards, fonts rendering and predictions.
• Log bugs with clear steps to reproduce, verify fixes and take part in release sign-off

Our apps serve children, parents and people typing in nine languages on Android, iOS and the web. You will own their quality end to end: hands-on manual testing, test automation, and API, backend and performance testing.

What you will do

• Plan and run functional, regression and exploratory tests across devices, OS versions and browsers

What we are looking for

• 2-5 years of manual testing of mobile and web apps, with solid test case design
• Hands-on test automation for web and mobile apps, with tools such as Playwright, Mobilewright, Appium or Maestro
• API testing with tools such as Postman or REST Assured, and running automated tests in CI pipelines such as GitHub Actions
• Performance, load and stress testing with tools such as k6, JMeter or Locust
• Working knowledge of databases (SQL or MongoDB queries) to validate backend data
• Experience with a bug tracker such as Jira
• Comfortable using AI tools for test design, test data and bug analysis
• A sharp eye for detail and a methodical way of working
• Good spoken and written English, and the confidence to share ideas in a small, dynamic team
